NATHAN TOMASELLO
From 2022-2024, Tomaesllo, a Northeast Ohio native, moved back home to own and operate his own wrestling club in Northeast Ohio called the NATO Wrestling Academy. Tomasello has worked with multiple high school qualifiers. state placers, and a state champion while also helping coach at his alma mater Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy.
Tomasello also has extensive competitive experience from all different levels of wrestling. At CVCA, Tomaesllo was a three-year team captain and led CVCA to two state runner-up finishes. He became the 23rd 4x High School Ohio individual state champion in the state’s history. Tomaesllo would go on to wrestle at Ohio State University from 2014-18 and would be named a team captain all four years. Tomasello helped lead the Buckeyes to the 2015 Team Championship and three BIG 10 titles. At the individual level, Tomasello was the individual champion at 125 lbs in 2015, was a 4x BIG 10 Champion, and a 4x DI All-American. Tomasello became just the 15th wrestler in program history to win the conference title in all four years.
Tomasello graduated from Ohio State in 2018 and became an Ohio RTC Senior Level Athlete. He would earn silver medals at the Bill Farrell International, the 2019 US Senior Open Championship, and the 2020 Cerra Pelado International in Cuba and would go on to qualify for the Olympic Trials. Tomasello competed at the 2021 Olympic Trials, where he would place third and earn a spot on the USA National Team. Additionally, Tomasello would take second at the 2021 World Team Trials at 61kg.
